PRIYANKA - UMAR

Few days back a news flash came about priyanka-umar marriage,these are no celebrities neither are they their wards so why did their private affair become a hot social issue?Eveyone gets married then what's strange about priyanka umar affair?
The reason why their marriage became a news was that they both belong to different religion and it was suppossed that their union could disturb communal harmony,now the question is why it happens?
According to my point of view marriage is a personal issue,and its up to individuals with whom they want to spend their lives.Our constitution says that any citizen above marrigable marriage has the right to choose a partner of his/her choice.
what's there in such a human bond which lacks love.If a boy and girl think that their getting together can cater their needs in a fruitful manner with their choices that harm in that?
At a moment I am not against the system of arranged marriage which is under practise for centuries but I fully support a change ,afterall its a law of nature.The things/system which were developed at that time suited that era but with the spread of education,advancement and with the changing life style/thought process these things should also be accepted.

RESERVATION

Our civilization is among the worlds most ancient ones.In general when the social evolution happens some sort of system is automatically developed to cater its needs and this was then based on the physical/mental strength of the existing individuals,which lately turned into their profession and further gave rise to what we now call castes.

As time passed by warrior and literary races started considering themselves to be superior as they held most of the property,wealth and knowledge.The races which served them were considered to be inferior though they were very much wanted in the society and without their presence social structure would have collapsed.Just because they were poor and illetrate were ill treated,the superiority feeling continued even during the days of slavery.If these races would have guided the society as a whole I suppose we would never have never fallen prey to slavery but they never bothered and catered their self interests. Somehow independence was achieved,and when the time of distribution of administrative powers came eveyone knows what happened. Anyways it was high time when the upper strata of the society would have tried to restructure whole of the social system in order to have better and much more solid social structure so that history could not be repeated.

Efforts were made and weaker sections fetched few percent of quota but that was not sufficient enough because of their population ,and whatever loss was done for centuries could not be compensated . Also its a fact that though there was OBC reservation policy but its was never strictly followed ,its was when VP Singh came to power and made it mandatory.

The reservation is not there only for economic upliftment,its totally about the participation in the governing system.So,unless there is equal power distribution this should be continued.How could there be the monoply of few races ?

Those who argue about talent should know that it can't be judged on the basis of few marks that too when there is huge disparity in the primary education,this could only be done when there is a common platform.
